Reverse Lit Channel Letters
When Dr. Scott Hallums contacted us for exterior signage for his new business we knew we were in for a great experience. Kind, courteous and full of excitement, Dr. Hallums was excited to be opening his practice in Wheaton. He was interested in sign design ideas that would be professional and eye catching while standing out among his neighbors on Front Street in downtown Wheaton. With a wide variety of sign types surrounding his business we knew there was room to incorporate something unique. Channel letters, dimensional letters and light boxes line the store fronts of Front Street but none had the flair that Dr. Hallums was hoping to find for his new business sign. When we introduced the idea of reverse lit channel letters, he was excited about the idea. His store front allowed for 30 square feet of signage. Using a combination of lit and non lit letters would be the perfect solution to utilize every square inch of allotted space. The only concern was how well the darker blue in his logo would stand out on the exterior brick wall. Our talented graphic design team got to work on a sign layout and our sales rep met with Dr. Hallums on site to select the perfect blue. Going just a few shades brighter than his original logo was a simple solution while still staying true to the brand he was building. The final design called for both acrylic dimensional letters and reverse lit channel letters. Enhancing the word Chiropractic was important in choosing white faces for the back lit letters so to be as visible as possible during the day. We installed the sign and the results surpassed the expectations of our client who said, “I couldn’t be more pleased. Thanks for all your help and work”.
